Make Mine an Old Fashioned

I love this sort of "retro" ornament. Retro meaning something I remember seeing on my tree as a child. That part's a little scary.

I know they're cheap. I know it's just glass with glitter on it, but there's something about all the reflections you see in a Christmas ornament. All that light and glow. It's magical, or at least it feels that way.

Christmas trees are up way too short of a time, but I guess that's what makes them special. If they were up every day we'd forget to stop and look at how pretty they are.

We've achieved many of the same retro looks simply by hanging onto decorations practically forever.

My MIL has tons of these - I took a bunch of pics of them too! They are kind of fascinating.
