I've reviewed several books for Transita Publishing authors, and I have several more in my stack to be read and reviewed. Transita focuses on women "of a certain age," namely a more mature, roughly 45 - 50ish market, and though I skim in under that age range (never mind by how much!), I can thoroughly appreciate these consistently well-written books.
I reviewed Wendy K. Harris's previous novel The Sorrow of Sisters, and now she's published her next book, Blue Slipper Bay, which I'm also looking forward to reading and reviewing.
Now, here's the SQUEEEEE part. Wendy let me know today that not only has Transita used an excerpt of my TSOS review in their catalogue, but they're also using it ON THE FRONT OF HER NEW BOOK!
Please hold. I'm in a swoon. (splash!) Okay, I'm better.
I've been quoted on posters, on bookmarks and in catalogues in the past, but never, so far, on the cover of a book. This is a very SQUEEE Bluestalking moment! I hope you'll indulge me while I run around in circles and make squeaky noises like an overexcited mouse. If it's too much just turn away. I'll stop it soon.
Congrats to Wendy K. Harris on the publication of her new book. I can't wait to read it (and to hold it close and stroke it in a manner that's really pretty embarrassingly self-indulgent).
Dove, thanks so much! That's one less to hunt down....

I've written it on my copy Lisa!

Susie, Wendy was kind enough to include the latest Transita catalogue with the copy of Blue Slipper Bay, so I was able to see myself quoted TWICE in one book's promotional material, actually, once as BSR and once under my own name! Don't recall offhand which book that was, but I did like that.

You are also quoted at some length and by your BSR name on the back of the newer bookmarks for EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY and A LIFETIME BURNING, Lisa.
Thanks for your unstinting support of Transita books. We really appreciate it.

Lisa, There's no name given under the quote on the front of Blue Slipper but as you know your quotes are mentioned in the Transita catalogue both under The Sorrow of Sisters by Wendy Harris and A Lifetime Burning by Linda Gillard. I've given Blue Slipper Bay as a birthday present to my neighbour - hoping she'll lend it back to me! So I can check in then.
I expect you know you can go to the Transita website and download the catalogue if you want to see.
Ex libris is quoted under Dangerous Sports too.

Oh my dear dovegrey! I wasn't aware they hadn't credited me as I haven't seen a copy yet. Do they mention it on the copyright page, perchance, or elsewhere in the book? But at the least I'll know it's me, which is something. I'll just have to track down all the copies and HAND WRITE the credit... Calling British Air now and I'll be on the hunt... ;-)

OMG that's one of life's moments Lisa! I have just dashed off to look at my copy and slapping myself for missing it only to find they HAVEN'T credited you!!! Is that fair????
