Thank you to author Jonathan Mooney, and the Holtzbrinck Group of publishers, for shipping me a copy of The Short Bus. I'd been wanting to review this one for Jonathan, and now that I've received the book, well, that makes things a lot easier. Thank you, thank you, and apologies again to my FedEx guy, who's memorized the route to my home and work addresses.
The Short Bus tells Jonathan Mooney's inspirational story of not just getting through life with learning disabilities, but exceeding everyone's expectations and illustrating what determination can do.
Next up, the second book in a series by John Twelve Hawks, author of The Fourth Realm trilogy. The first in the series got HUGE reviews at Amazon, and it promises to be a literary heavyweight in the realm of fantasy fiction.
The publicist for Mr. Twelve Hawks has sent me two books, one for review and one for GIVEAWAY. So be on the lookout for that coming up here very soon. It's a pristine, hardback book, not a review copy, so that makes the deal even sweeter. If this one proves popular as a GIVEAWAY who knows, I may even chip in the copy they sent me for review, too.
Finally, thanks to author Susanne Dunlap's publicist for sending a copy of her latest historical novel, Liszt's Kiss. I'm already nearly halfway into this story set in 19th century France, filled with a cast of real and fictional historical characters.
Hopefully I'll wrangle a few author interviews to go along with some of these upcoming reviews. As always I have a few things lined up and I'll be sure to trumpet them when they get a bit closer. Not one to quietly bide my time is Bluestalking Reader.
Until the doorbell rings again... I remain your loyal
