Weekend in Le City: Bluestalking Does Chicago

I spent the entirety of last weekend downtown. I live in the Chicago area, but I don't often get to actually stay in the heart of the loop. I took advantage of the time and did some long ramblings. You may not be surprised to know I took a lot of photos.

SHOCKER!

I was meeting up with two other bloggers you may know... In fact, if you hang out here at all you'll probably know them quite well. They're our own Ex Libris and Random Jottings, to be precise. We had indecent amounts of fun, as befits book lovers on the town. We didn't make any headlines, either. We were the SOUL of decorum (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

I'll be posting lots of my photos here in upcoming days. I hope you'll enjoy them! If not, I hope you'll just humor me and go along with it.

We'll have to get you over to our side of the pond one of these days. We have libraries here, you know, including the auspicious Newberry.

Andi, we had such fun I'm surprised there wasn't a law against it...! Hardly any alcohol was involved, either. There was a memorable bottle of wine, and a waiter who kept us carefully measured, but aside from that not a thing you have to be 21 to drink. AND WE STILL HAD FUN!
