I know, I know, I'm a LOSER of a blogger lately. But if you were walking a mile in my mocassins you'd have an inkling what's keeping me so occupied. You'd also quite possibly have a headache the size of Texas, so go ahead and help yourself to the contents of my medicine cabinet. Just don't touch the leftover stash of muscle relaxers. I'm keeping those for a "rainy day," or a day when I need to let loose and rip out a few frank comments to people who deserve them.
Inhibitions are really such a BORE in that scenario, aren't they?
Anyway, there are two big things I'm going to treat all of you with, for having been such stellar blog readers, checking in even when I've been off alternately staring at the walls, hurling abuse at the gods and swearing so vociferously it peeled back the paint on the aforesaid walls (which provided me something to look at, producing an oddly calming effect).
Two big things. Really. I promise.
One:
My review of the splendid book Dark Hearts of Chicago
Two:
My recent interview with Jennifer Egan, author of that lovely gothic book The Keep.
Keep an eye peeled. No, strike that. That sounds painful. Keep a lookout for both these yummies here within the next couple of days. And thank you, thank you, thank you for your infinite patience. I really am not being difficult on purpose. You'll have to take my word on this.
Love and kisses,
BSR
Simon, that was EVIL! ;-) Thanks for the kind words.

Bless you, Lisa - you're just too lovely for us to stop visiting! I do hope things calm down at your end, of course, but I shall also do my best not to be a hassler - and, as such, I shan't tell you about the BRILLIANT book I'm reading, which you just MUST read...
heehee.

I have to admit, I'm addicted to your blog, so it's been difficult. But you wrote such a great review of Finn that I figured you deserved some time away without being hassled by your fans. Hope your problems get resolved, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming review and interview. Take care.
