I'm feeling very honored to have been nominated for a Thinking Blogger Award by Random Jottings. Now I must, in turn, nominate five other bloggers for this wonderful distinction. Some of my favorites have been nominated already, so I'm going to attempt to choose five of my favorites who, as far as I know, haven't been nominated elsewhere.
Here goes.
I would like to nominate Ex Libris for her unfailingly interesting book reviews, which have lead me to some great reads. She and I share so much in common. She's a very dear friend.
Petrona is another blogger I greatly respect. She finds some of the most amazing news stories. You could get lost on her blog for days (and I have!) chasing down the wonderful leads she gives. She inspires me in many ways.
Likewise Historical/Present, a blog that finds everything from literary awards to literature news I haven't heard anywhere else. I feel very inadequate as far as my world literature knowledge, and this is one blog that's an excellent source in this field.
Lesley's Book Nook is another great source for book reviews. We may not always feel the same way about some books, but I always respect her opinions.
Finally, Tripping Toward Lucidity teaches me all sorts of things, from the latest pop culture information (a topic I'm really light on) to tips on getting through grad school (even if I'm not going to grad school, it's an education looking on while she does!). Her youthful energy is such an inspiration to me, and I don't think she fully appreciates how much I admire her.
So many more blogs I'd love to nominate, but alas I have only five. I adore you all. It wouldn't be any fun being here without all of you.
Ex Libris, you are such a dear! Thanks so much.

You're so welcome! It's been a pleasure sharing the blogosphere with you, and I look forward to many more years in our blog-mmunity.

Blush, blush! Thank you so much for your lovely comments about my blog. I can't tell you how heartening and inspiring it is to read what you say. Thank you.

Andi, you're welcome! I have to come see which five you chose.

Thanks SO much! It's quite an honor coming from you. And I've already passed the award along to five of my favorites!

Thank you, Bluestalking Reader. Very kind. Now it's my turn to name 5 and, as you say, it is hard to choose.

Ok, thanks for being so understanding, Lisa. Now to put my post together, thanking you AND Bellezza. Sheesh. I'm so embarrassed.

Les, no! I don't want to withdraw it at all. I didn't know you'd been chosen but I do very much want to give you my nomination.

Les, You're so welcome! Well done being nominated twice. I'm quite sure that DOES entitle you to ten nominations... ;-)
I could have easily nominated 10. All the blogs I visit make me think. It's really tough narrowing it down.

I just re-read your first paragraph and if you'd like to withdraw my nomination and choose someone who hasn't already been picked, I honestly would be fine with that. I feel bad that I "misled" you to believe I hadn't been chosen yet.

I'm honored! And this is the second time I've been nominated for this particular award. I must get on the ball and write a post (and get the widget in my sidebar)! Hmmm, wonder if I can nominate 10 blogs since I've been nominated twice. ;) Thanks, Lisa. I truly am quite touched by this.
