Fun with Library Cataloguing
A quick but goofy thought-provoking tidbit for you all. I looked up which books by Gail Godwin I can get my hot little hands on here at the library, for gratificationus instantus. Do you know what she's listed under in...

I'm Getting Too Old for This... A Really, Really Long, Photo-Intensive Post
Yesterday was my birthday! I know, I didn't trumpet it. At least not here. I don't consider rolling down the car windows and yelling it at passing motorists trumpeting, really. Not technically. Besides, they didn't even seem to be listening,...

It's actually color, but there's nothing but shades of grey to be found. Much like my life!
Like the Salem witch thought. That's an era I'm fascinated with. I think I also know that rationality/insanity gap, too, come to think of it... ;-)

Is this is black and white? The color is PERFECT! It doesn't matter, because the photo is a beaut. I just wanted to say: it reminds me of the "Salem Witch Hysteria." Captures the mood, which I would call bleak, almost "nightfall," but most of all apprehensive. This is a picture of a place where the people are in between seasons and caught in between rationality and insanity.
(You know, I'm only an English major...what do I know about photography? Well, take this with a grain of morphine...ooops, I mean "grain of salt.")

Nan, I didn't see that in the photo at all 'til after I took it. That happens a lot.

Susan, that's lovely imagery!

Karen, funny how inspiring these completely dark, drizzly days can be, eh? Can't wait to see what you get.

I see eyes and a lock of hair going upward in the midst of this picture, like a ghostly presence. Really spectacular photo, Lisa!

The bare ruined choirs, where once the sweet birds sang, now look like budding fingertips, about to open with the rain.
Here, too: I will be in the garden today, with the robins and my big black dog.

That is so beautiful, I am going out with my camera, right this minute, in the rain!
